I’m not sure I can handle more of this waiting, dudes.
Not like I can actually do anything about it, though, so I guess I’ll have to put up with the wait until the big event.
Until college football finally comes back and I can end this endless wandering in the wasteland of no summer sports.
Less than two months ago until I can begin to listen to sports talk radio again.
Less than two months to go until I can do more than glance at the local sports page and shudder with horror and boredom before quickly shuffling away to the lifestyle section to see how I can put glitter on a ginchy throw pillow.
This is the low point. The nadir. The pit.
College football is a distant memory. College basketball is long gone. I try to pay attention to the NBA playoffs, but I just can’t work up the enthusiasm.
Now all we’re left with is golf. Boring. Baseball. Worse than boring, it’s actively horrific. NASCAR. Boring and a tremendous waste of fuel and resources.
I guess I can try and cling to the hope that the Olympics will be at least interesting. If I can find the channel that broadcasts the field events that are actually interesting, as opposed to the swimming that seems to have captured the interest of Americans for some unknown reason.
The Olympics don’t begin until July 27?
Duuuuuuuudddeee. This is going to be a long month.
